5 – Hagar with Ishmael Dying in the Desert

This painting depicts Hagar, the mother of Ishmael, cradling her dying son in her arms. They have exhausted their meager supplies of food and water. Hagar pleads her case to God, and in her expectant spirit yearns for God’s guidance.
